From being your personal fitness trainer to answering calls, here's why you should invest in a smartwatch.

Gone are the days when a watch only told the time. Now, a watch does that, and much more thanks to the giant strides made by technology. From receiving calls and replying to messages and tracking fitness levels and streaming videos, there’s literally nothing a smartwatch cannot do.

These days smartwatches in the market are so gesture-rich that you no longer need to take your phone out of the pocket. These watches also come with a built-in voice support that helps to receive calls or reply to messages on the go.

Did you know that the smartwatch on your wrist can also be your personal fitness tracker? Armed with a fitness tracking system, these nifty gadgets track the number of steps but also keep a check on the heart rate, sleep, pulse rate, calories and so much more.

Do you still reach out to your phone to watch any video or listen to music? Well, now you no longer have to do this because smartwatches come with a feature that allows users to watch videos and play music as well.

It's time to upgrade your smartwatch.

From adventure lovers to working professionals, Apple's new line-up of smartwatches is a treat. At the 'Far Out' event, the tech company launched Watch Series 8, Watch Ultra and Watch SE.

From tracking changes in body temperature to its crash detection feature for drivers, the Watch Series 8 have been conceptualised for the safety of the user.

Watch Series 8 will be available in three colour variants - Midnight Starlight, Silver, and Product Red. It will also come in three stainless steel finishes - silver, gold, and graphite.

The Watch 8 prices will differ based on customised straps. While the base model comes with an aluminium case and starts at Rs 45,900, the variants with steel case come with a price tag of Rs 74,900.
