A Celebration of Life Ceremony and burial with Military Honors, will take place on September 24, in Woodland Cemetery in Keene, New Hampshire. Memorial contributions may be made in Noyes' name to American Legion Charities at https://mylegion.org/. Noyes was born September 8, 1929 in Bristol, Connecticut. He was the first of two children born to Noyes Sr. and Rosamond Stickney. Noyes graduated in 1948 from Portsmouth High School in N.H. and attended the University of New Hampshire. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He was stationed in Panama, and was responsible for establishing and maintaining communication systems to support U.S. Army operations in the Canal Zone. After his honorable discharge, he began his professional career with a focus on industrial engineering and machinery. Employment included Martin Aerospace in Baltimore, Maryland and Bryant Manufacturing, a machine tool builder in Springfield, Vermont which is where he met his future bride. On February 23, 1957, Noyes wed his wife, Gail Nelson Dunn in Springfield, Vt. They moved to Seneca Falls, N.Y. in 1958, where he and Gail raised a family and lived for 30 years. Noyes was employed at Seneca Falls Machine Co. for five years prior to being offered an Industrial Engineering position at Sylvania. There, he contributed his skills for the manufacture of television picture tubes. He worked with the company through several name changes, i.e., Sylvania, GTE Sylvania, and finally NA Philips/Philips ECG, where he was instrumental in the development of the initial flat screen television. While residing in Seneca Falls, Noyes enjoyed golf and bowling in several men's leagues. He was also very active in the Kirk Casey Post 366 American Legion for many years. He was elected and served as Commander and supported the Legion at the State level. He was a true patriot in supporting events honoring active service and retired veterans by participating in local holiday parades and memorial services. Socially, Noyes was active with Legion bingo, dances, and dinners. He was also active in the local little league football program, where he was head coach for middle school athletes. He also was an avid camper and spent many long weekends with family at the many beautiful state parks in upstate NY and his favorite beach in Wells, Maine where he spent two weeks camping each summer with family and friends. In 1988, Noyes and Gail moved to Findlay, Ohio to finish his 37-year professional career with Philips (in Ottawa, OH) before fully retiring in 2003. After retiring, he enjoyed restoring and showing his pride and joy which was a light blue 1967 Ford Mustang at many classic car events. He also enjoyed regular summertime visits from grandsons, where the pool was always a blast. After 19 years in Ohio, Noyes and Gail relocated to the Denver, CO area to be closer to and create more precious memories with their daughter, son-in-law, youngest grandson with an added bonus of being near his brother Webster and sister-in-law Marilyn. Mission accomplished. They spent quality time at many family functions, attending their grandson's competitive ice hockey games and tournaments throughout beautiful Colorado, and many trips together throughout the USA. His dear family recently shared their sentiments about Noyes. He was a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan, a lover of model and toy cars, a lover of ocean beaches, great at corn hole and horseshoes, an avid card player, a lover of wine, a strong family provider, and a fun loving and humorous soul. While his wife Gail passed in 2015, Noyes is survived by a son, Noyes III (Tammy) of Bellevue, Neb.; a son, Brian of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Melissa Burkett (Michael) of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; a brother, Webster Stickney (Marilyn) of Parker, Colo.; and a very special cousin, Barrett Cowen of Mt.
